The IDHS maintains a database of People, Places, Events and Images of the Irwin District as well as number of family history publications.
Visitors are welcome to visit the Research Centre, staff are available to personally assist with your inquiries on Mondays and Wednesdays between 9am and 12noon.

The Royal Western Australian Historical Society (Inc) has had a pioneer role in the conservation and interpretation of the State's social history since European exploration and settlement. It continues to do so and also supports recognition and research of Aboriginal history and culture which both predates and parallels the period of European history. |Western Australian Museum
The Western Australian Museum was established in 1891 (as the 'Perth Museum') and its initial collections were geological, ethnological and biological specimens, these have now expanded to the botanical collection, the new Herbarium, earth sciences, zoology, anthropology, archaeology, maritime archaeological and social and cultural history collections.
